Brentwood, TN Veterans Monument Planned for Heritage Way

The City of Brentwood is moving forward with plans for a permanent Veterans Monument to honor Brentwood’s military service veterans, their families, and the role of the citizen soldier.

The monument will be located at 910 Heritage Way, next to Brentwood Police Headquarters. The Brentwood Veterans Monument Ad Hoc Committee recently released conceptual designs for the project, which show a plaza with an American flag, flags representing each military branch, an honor wall, seating, plaques, green space, a pond, and a bronze sculpture honoring “the citizen soldier.”

The committee was created to develop designs and raise funds for the project. It includes Brentwood residents appointed by the Board of Commissioners, along with City Commissioner Rhea Little and Historic Commission member Ashley McAnulty.

The City Commission approved the final concept plans in May 2026. Fundraising is now underway, with the project expected to be funded through private donations from the Brentwood community. The total project cost target is approximately $1.3 million, and full design work will move forward once 50% of the fundraising goal has been reached.

The target opening date is July 4, 2027.

Community members who would like to support the Brentwood Veterans Monument can donate here. Donations of more than $25,000 will be recognized at the monument site.
