Sweethaven Announces Third Ice Cream Shop Opening in Brentwood This Summer
Locally owned ice cream shop Sweethaven will open a new location in Brentwood, marking its third storefront as the brand continues steady growth across Middle Tennessee. Just in time for summer, the new shop is planning to open in mid-June at CityPark, next to Taziki’s.
Owner Katie Britt confirmed the expansion during an interview. Sweethaven currently operates in Westhaven and Downtown Franklin, serving award-winning ice cream, farm-fresh frozen yogurt, gourmet pops, and local baked goods in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Since launching in 2020, the family-owned business has built a strong local following. Katie reflected on that growth, saying, “We are super excited,” and added, “We’re opening a third location in Brentwood. Our goal is mid June, so hopefully really soon.” She noted that Brentwood had been on their radar for some time, adding that “City Park just felt like a perfect fit,” especially given its mix of families, corporate activity, and central location.
A Family-Owned Brand Built on Community and Comfort
Sweethaven’s growth has been driven by strong community support since the beginning. The family-owned brand first opened in Westhaven in 2020, where the shop quickly became a neighborhood gathering place and helped establish Sweethaven’s identity around celebration, connection, and comfort. Its welcoming atmosphere and local focus laid the foundation for future expansion while building a loyal customer base.
In 2022, Sweethaven expanded into Downtown Franklin, taking over the renovated former Baskin-Robbins space after the longtime ice cream shop closed. The move brought renewed energy to a familiar dessert destination while introducing a locally owned concept to the heart of downtown. The second location strengthened Sweethaven’s presence in the community and reflected the company’s steady momentum.
Katie Britt said the company’s growth strategy has always been thoughtful and intentional, with each location selected carefully rather than added rapidly. She described the approach as being “in the right spots” to best serve the surrounding communities. That measured expansion has allowed Sweethaven to grow consistently while preserving the welcoming feel and sense of connection that defined them from the start.
What Guests Can Expect in Brentwood
The Brentwood location will feature Sweethaven’s full dessert lineup, including its rotating ice cream selection and seasonal offerings. Guests can expect more than 70 flavors, along with a daily curated menu known as the Sweet 16.
Katie explained the system, saying, “We rotate through 70 flavors that we have, and they change daily.” The Sweet 16 narrows that variety into a focused daily selection designed to keep the experience fresh for repeat visitors.
Inclusivity remains a key part of the menu, with dairy-free, oat milk, and gluten-free options available. “We always have dairy-free options,” Katie noted, highlighting daily rotation across dietary choices. The Brentwood shop will also feature Sweethaven’s signature sprinkle bar, a fan-favorite attraction that will be updated seasonally with new themes and toppings.
Mobile Experiences, Private Events, and Menu Variety
Sweethaven will operate its mobile units—the Sweet Cycle and Sweet Shack—from the Brentwood location, extending the brand’s presence beyond its storefronts and into festivals, schools, and community events across the region. “We have mobile units we call our Sweet Cycle and our Sweet Shack,” Katie said. “They’ll also be activated out of that location.” The mobile offerings allow Sweethaven to stay connected with local communities while bringing its products directly to events and gatherings throughout Williamson County.
The Brentwood shop is also being designed with private events and group gatherings in mind. Katie said the location will feature flexible seating and spaces that can accommodate celebrations, parties, and community meetups. “Private events, lots of seating,” she said, emphasizing the store’s focus on creating an inviting atmosphere for families, friends, and organizations looking for a place to gather.
In addition to its event capabilities, Sweethaven will continue offering its rotating lineup of more than 70 ice cream flavors, anchored by the daily Sweet 16 menu. “We rotate through 70 flavors,” Katie explained. “They change daily.” The model combines signature staples with seasonal and limited-time selections to keep the menu fresh and evolving. Dietary inclusivity also remains a priority, with dairy-free, oat milk, and gluten-free options regularly available. “Lots of dairy-free options,” Katie added, highlighting the brand’s effort to offer choices for a wide range of customers.
Looking Ahead to Opening Day
Sweethaven’s Sweet Cycle and Sweet Shack will help introduce the brand to the Brentwood community through local events and gatherings ahead of and after opening. Katie emphasized the importance of that outreach, noting it helps establish early connections in new areas. The mobile presence complements the storefront by building familiarity before full operations begin.
As opening preparations continue, excitement is building for the mid-June debut at CityPark. The expansion reflects Sweethaven’s continued focus on thoughtful growth, community engagement, and a consistent guest experience across all locations. Katie summed up their philosophy simply: “We love it. We love that every day is a celebration.”
