On Monday, May 4, the Tennessee Titans hosted more than 140 high school athletes for a Girls Flag Football Leadership Summit, presented by Bridgestone. The summit was designed to empower the next generation of female athletes, focusing on leadership development and teaching them how to navigate the college recruiting process.
Student athletes heard from U.S. Women’s Flag National Team wide receiver and IFAF gold medalist Isabella Geraci, Titans CFO and former Western Kentucky University softball player Shannon Myers, and Cumberland University Women’s Flag Football Head Coach Steven Miller, as well as representatives from the NCAA Eligibility Center and Bridgestone.
A Titans team photographer was also on-site taking headshots for attendees to use on their college recruiting profiles.
Later this month, girls flag athletes from across the state will compete in the first-ever TSSAA-sanctioned state championship. Since the Titans launched their girls’ flag football initiative in 2021, the program has grown to include more than 160 teams across Tennessee. On Thursday, June 18, the Titans will host their first-ever girls’ flag-specific youth football camp. To register, visit TennesseeTitans.com/YouthFootballCamps.
