BELL Construction hosts annual Future Builders Academy to share construction career pathways
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — April 2, 2026 — BELL Construction, a leading construction company in the Southeast that provides general contracting, design-build and construction management services across multiple sectors, hosted its Future Builders Academy on Friday, March 27. The annual hands-on career exploration event is designed to introduce high school students to career opportunities in the construction industry.
BELL Construction welcomed approximately 150 students and educators from high schools across Dickson, Cheatham, Maury, Williamson and Hickman counties to its Fairview shop.
At a time when the construction industry continues to face a significant workforce shortage, Future Builders Academy connects students and Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers with real-world construction experiences and career pathways. Attendees at this year’s academy engaged with interactive demonstrations, including the Be Pro Be Proud simulation truck, as well as safety, carpentry and heavy equipment demonstrations led by BELL team members.
“This is about showing students that there are meaningful, rewarding career paths in construction that don’t always follow a traditional route,” said Melissa Higginbotham, Senior Recruiter at BELL Construction. “By giving them direct access to tools, technology and professionals in the field, we’re helping them better understand the possibilities available to them and how they can start building a future right here in their own communities.”
Through these interactive experiences, students gain exposure to the wide range of careers available in construction while learning about the training, education and pathways that support long-term success in the industry.
