Nashville Airport Announces New Southwest Airlines Nonstop Flights Launching in October

Travelers flying out of Nashville International Airport (BNA) will soon have three additional nonstop destinations. Airport officials announced that Southwest Airlines will launch new nonstop routes to Reno, Nevada; El Paso, Texas; and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in New Hampshire beginning in October.

With the addition of these routes, Southwest will set a new operational record at BNA, with 210 departures every Monday, Thursday, and Friday, and 215 departures on Sundays.

Southwest has long been one of the largest carriers operating at Nashville International Airport. The airline operates hundreds of weekly departures from BNA and continues to expand its network as travel demand across Middle Tennessee grows. In recent years, Southwest has added both domestic and international routes from Nashville, helping connect travelers to destinations across the United States, the Caribbean, and Central America.

The new flights also build on the expansion announced in 2025, when Southwest revealed additional destinations from Nashville to begin in March 2026, including Montego Bay, Jamaica; San José, Costa Rica; Knoxville, Tennessee; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Montrose, Colorado.

Growth at BNA has accelerated in recent years as the airport continues its multi-phase New Horizon expansion plan. Nashville International Airport welcomed more than 24 million passengers in fiscal year 2025, setting another record as the airport continues to grow. Airport officials say continued route additions reflect strong demand from both leisure and business travelers across the region.

With the addition of Reno, El Paso, and Manchester-Boston this fall, passengers departing from Nashville will have even more nonstop travel options heading into the busy holiday season and beyond.
