Free Lunchtime Shuttle Service to Connect Downtown Franklin and The Factory

Starting September 15, 2025, getting between downtown Franklin and The Factory at Franklin will be easier than ever thanks to a new free lunchtime shuttle from the Franklin Transit Authority.
Running every 15 minutes from 11 am to 2 pm, the service will give workers, visitors, and nearby residents a quick way to enjoy lunch in downtown Franklin, shop along Main Street, or explore the restaurants and stores at The Factory, all without moving their car.
The shuttle begins at the Franklin Transit Authority Center on Columbia Avenue in downtown Franklin, stops at Franklin’s Public Square, and continues to The Factory at Franklin before looping back. On the return trip, it again stops at the square before ending at the transit center.
This weekday pilot grows out of Franklin Transit’s Saturday Farmers Market Shuttle, which has already proven to be a hit. Every Saturday, the service runs between Liberty Elementary School and The Factory, helping market-goers skip crowded parking lots and enjoy one of the city’s busiest weekend events. That success laid the groundwork for testing a weekday option.
With parking downtown becoming more limited, the new Downtown Franklin transportation service offers a car-free, sustainable alternative. Whether you work in the area, are spending the day as a visitor, or live nearby, the shuttle makes moving between two of Franklin’s most popular destinations simple and stress-free.
The new service will not replace any existing Franklin Transit routes and is operated by the Franklin Transit Authority. For more information about Franklin public transit, visit the Franklin Transit website or call them at (615) 628-0260.
