Support The Franklin Band at A Night for the Roses Fundraiser

The Franklin Band invites the community to A Night for the Roses on Saturday, August 2nd, a special evening of music, storytelling, and giving back. This Songwriter Showcase and Silent Auction will raise funds for the band’s upcoming trip to the 2026 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.
The evening features performances from three celebrated Nashville songwriters:
- Kent Blazy, a 2020 inductee into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, is known for timeless hits like “If Tomorrow Never Comes” and “Ain’t Goin’ Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up)” for Garth Brooks, and “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” for Chris Young. His work has helped define the modern country genre.
- Cory Batten is a Nashville-based hitmaker who achieved back-to-back No. 1 singles with Blake Shelton’s “She Wouldn’t Be Gone” and Chris Young’s “Gettin’ You Home.” His songs have been recorded by artists including Rhonda Vincent and Love & Theft, and he continues to write and produce in Music City.
- Leslie Satcher is one of Nashville’s most respected singer-songwriters, with tracks recorded by icons like George Strait, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Vince Gill, and Reba McEntire. A 2025 Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and a 2023 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame nominee, Satcher is also known for her solo albums Love Letters and 2 Days in Muscle Shoals. Her genre-spanning work has earned multiple BMI “Million-Air” awards and placement on GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM-winning albums.
The event will also shine a spotlight on student talent with opening sets by Franklin High School songwriters Maddi Rae Wilson and Keller Leggett.
Maddi Rae Wilson is a heartfelt storyteller whose music blends raw emotion with honest lyrics. From heartbreak to healing, her songs capture the messiness of life with a sound that’s as relatable as it is powerful.
Keller Leggett is a 17-year-old songwriter from Franklin, Tennessee, drawing inspiration from artists like Ruston Kelly and David Wilcox. His debut single, Honeysuckle, is available now, with a new track, Jesus and Drugs, set to release on July 4, 2025.
In addition to live music, guests can browse a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind items and experiences. Concessions will be available from Graze Craze. VIP guests will enjoy a private, catered meet-and-greet with the featured songwriters.
Whether you’re a fan of great music or looking to support a meaningful cause, this night promises heartfelt performances and community spirit, all in support of The Franklin Band’s once-in-a-lifetime journey.
