Main Street Festival Visitors Can Enjoy Free Public Wi-Fi in Downtown Franklin

Visitors heading to the 41st Annual Main Street Festival in Historic Downtown Franklin will have access to free public Wi-Fi, thanks to United Communications. The ultra-fast, no-password-required network—named “#1 United Communications”—is available throughout the event, which runs from 10 am on Friday, April 26th, through 6 pm on Saturday, April 27th.

The Wi-Fi coverage area spans two blocks north and south and one block east and west of the public square. This initiative, made possible through a partnership between United Communications and the City of Franklin, ensures reliable internet access for residents, business owners, festivalgoers, and vendors, especially helpful during times of heavy cellular network use.

United Communications is a locally based provider of internet and phone services, operating over 4,800 route miles of fiber across 11 Middle Tennessee counties. The company has earned numerous recognitions, including a 2024 Gold Stevie® Award, multiple “Best Places to Work” honors from the Nashville Business Journal, and designation as a Smart Rural Community Provider℠. United Communications is a service of Middle Tennessee Electric.
