Country artist Priscilla Block encourages participation in TDOT’s 4th Annual No Trash November – there’s still time to participate!
Block’s iconic yellow safety vest is more than a fashion statement. The country music artist reminds residents to keep safe while participating in the state’s largest coordinated month-long litter cleanup.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nov. 20, 2024 – Country artist Priscilla Block is once again donning her blinged out yellow safety vest as she encourages participation in Tennessee Department of Transportation’s (TDOT) 4th Annual No Trash November. Spearheaded by TDOT’s litter prevention campaign, Nobody Trashes Tennessee, the month-long initiative encourages Tennesseans to participate in cleanup events in their communities.
As part of the partnership, Block is encouraging residents to be a part of the solution to end littering in Tennessee by participating in No Trash November. “We’re hosting a different type of Block Party across the state that’s going to help keep Tennessee beautiful and litter-free,” said Priscilla Block. “No Trash November is the perfect time to get involved in a litter cleanup in your community – and safety vests will be included.”
Last year’s No Trash November initiative included more than 150 events with over 2,200 volunteers who collected more than 86,000 pounds of litter from the state’s roadways, making it the largest coordinated month-long litter cleanup in Tennessee. “Litter cleanups help maintain vibrant communities, keep roadways and waterways safe and clean, and contribute to the scenic beauty of Tennessee,” said Brittany Morris, transportation program supervisor, TDOT. “Priscilla became known for wearing yellow safety vests last year and is now using her platform to help us kickoff the 4th Annual No Trash November. With her help, along with our passionate, dedicated community partners, we aim to grow the initiative’s reach even more.”
New this year, and to encourage individuals to get involved in No Trash November, is the Trash Masters Rewards program. Participants earn points for various activities like taking a litter quiz, attending cleanup events, and spreading awareness. Participants can earn double points for all activities throughout the month of November, making it the perfect time to join. Points can be redeemed for a variety of rewards, including discounts at local businesses and exclusive NTT swag. It’s a fun and engaging way for individuals to contribute to a litter-free Tennessee while being recognized for their commitment to the environment.

All residents are encouraged to show their support for a litter-free Tennessee by using the #NobodyTrashesTennessee and #NoTrashNovember hashtags in social media and to highlight their litter prevention actions throughout the month.
