Travis Coopwood Joins Sheridan Public Relations
Mississippi Native, Former Intern Joins Franklin-Based Firm
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Travis Coopwood has joined Sheridan Public Relations (SPR) as a Staff Associate, where she will work on a variety of local, regional and national accounts.
Originally from Cleveland, MS, Coopwood recently graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. She gained extensive experience from opportunities provided within the School of Journalism and New Media, such as serving as the publicity chair for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
She was a summer intern with SPR in 2023, working on accounts including the Williamson County Fair, and eagerly anticipates continuing that work and further strengthening her PR skills.
“Travis really distinguished herself during her internship with her understanding of modern marketing and communications methods, as well as her work ethic,” said Chad Schmidt, partner at SPR. “She’s already well-respected here and with our clients, and we’re excited she’s part of the team.”
Coopwood also interned with Visit Oxford, where she handled web design, content creation and traditional marketing projects.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the SPR team last summer and the relationships I built with our clients,” says Coopwood. “I am excited to continue collaborating with the group and contributing in meaningful ways. I’ve been looking forward to making Middle Tennessee my home and am grateful to have a supportive team to help me transition smoothly into the diverse field of PR, marketing and communications.”
