Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center Hosts Baby Shower for Expecting and Recent Mothers
Mommy to “Bee” Baby Shower to take place April 26 at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center
April 11, 2024 – Nashville, TN – Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC), Nashville’s oldest non-profit medical center, is excited for the return of their Mommy to “Bee” Baby Shower. The event will take place Friday, April 26, at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center’s Nashville location. The event is free, and attendees can RSVP by calling 615-340-3860 or emailing Angela Jones (angela.jones2@mwchc.org).
The Mommy to “Bee” Baby Shower is an annual event for expecting mothers and those who gave birth in the past six months. Featuring free education sessions, prize giveaways and refreshments, this free event provides many things new mothers need to start off on the right foot. The first 75 new moms (or moms to “bee”) will receive a free blanket and book from Book’em.
Featured vendors during this year’s baby shower include Nashville Diaper Connection, MyBaby4Me, GIFTS (Growing Inside Free of Tobacco & Smoke), Metro Health Department’s WIC Program, Homeland Heart Birth & Wellness, Grow Together with MNPS, Hope Clinic, Nashville Strong Babies, BlueCare Maternity Initiative, Help to Moms, Schrader Lane & Encompass Community School, Centerstone Healthy Beginnings, Y.E.S. (Youth Encouragement Services), and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Education sessions include information about postpartum depression; health and nutrition and pediatric care by organizations including MyBaby4Me, Homeland Heart Birth, and more.
