Run specialty store opens in Thoroughbred Village Shopping Center

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Fleet Feet Nashville, the popular chain of running specialty stores, celebrated the grand opening of its Cool Springs location over the weekend with vendor giveaways totaling $2,500 and free gifts with purchase. Located at 545 Cool Springs Blvd., the first 50 customers in-store also received a goodie bag to celebrate the opening.

“We pride ourselves on creating an amazing environment through employee, customer and community experiences, and we are excited to further serve the Cool Springs community as an extension of our Brentwood store,” said Christi Beth Adams, owner of Fleet Feet Nashville. “With six locations in Middle Tennessee, Fleet Feet Nashville has fostered a deep, inclusive love of every member of the communities we are in and believes in helping people find the right gear to move more comfortably and safely, regardless of whether they’re walking, running or spending long hours on their feet at work.”

Adams came into the organization as an employee in 2006, right as the existing store in Brentwood had been open for four years. Fast forward, and under her leadership, Fleet Feet Nashville expanded to six locations, with sales volume increasing tenfold from Adams’ initial ownership in 2011. Her dedication and vision have been instrumental in transforming the brand’s presence in the region.

Fleet Feet Mt. Juliet and Fleet Feet Murfreesboro were officially transitioned to Adams’ ownership early last month from the previous owner, Krista Dugosh. With this acquisition, Fleet Feet will continue to build upon Dugosh’s legacy to bring even more support, knowledge and outstanding products to the local running and walking community.

“While this chapter may be ending for me, I am excited to see what the future holds for Fleet Feet Murfreesboro and Fleet Feet Mt. Juliet,” Dugosh said. “I am confident that Christi Beth will continue to build upon the foundation laid 17 years ago and carry forward with the spirit of community and wellness that has defined Fleet Feet.”

Committed to leaving a positive footprint, Fleet Feet Nashville holds several free or low-cost community events, including training groups, product previews and races to benefit movement-related organizations.

In addition, the group regularly supports local nonprofits with its Bessie Shoe Donations initiative, in which shoes are returned to Fleet Feet stores and other gently used pairs are donated to community organizations like Nashville Rescue Mission, Room In The Inn and Healing House. Fleet Feet also donates 100% of proceeds from its Community Collection, a line of Nashville-inspired running gear, to these and other community partners. Over the past ten years, Fleet Feet Nashville has contributed more than $100,000 and 7,500 pairs of shoes to Middle Tennessee charities. On Sunday, Dec. 3, Fleet Feet hosted a Festive 5K, benefitting Operation Christmas Child.

The Cool Springs store will be open Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
