Veterans Day Parade (Nov. 10th) 

The City of Franklin and local radio station WAKM AM-950’s Annual Veterans’ Day Parade will occur in downtown Franklin this Friday at 11am. Traveling down Main Street, the parade will include Williamson County marching bands, JROTC units, and students from the Franklin Special School District. A reception for local veterans and their families will be held before the parade at the Williamson County Archives at 9am. 

 

Franklin Civil War Historic Commission Dedicates Historic U.S. Line Markers -Line Marker

Dedication of U.S. Line Markers (Nov. 10th)

The City of Franklin’s Civil War Historic Commission will be having a Dedication of U.S. Line Markers this Friday in honor of Veterans Day. These line markers show the main U.S. Army defense line in the Battle of Franklin on Nov. 30, 1864. This event will take place at Carter Hill Park at 1pm, after the Veterans Day Parade. Commissioners will speak on the importance of the markers and present a new plaque dedicated to Dr. Sam Gant before a live musical performance takes place and light refreshments are served.

Creative Girls Rock Charity Sneaker Ball (Nov. 10th)

Creative Girls Rock’s 4th Annual Sneaker Charity Ball will be held this Friday in The Factory at Franklin at 7pm. This annual black-tie fundraising event will support Creative Girls Rock’s mission to provide creative arts programming for young girls and women all over the world. Pair your black-tie attire with some snazzy sneakers to enjoy a fashion show, silent auction, art showcases, refreshments, and much more this Friday night!

 

Shelli Huether Veterans Day Honor Run Brentwood TN

Shelli Huether Veterans Day Honor Run (Nov. 11th)

The Shelli Huether Veterans Day Honor Run will take place this Saturday at Granny White Park in Brentwood, with packet pick-up starting at 6:30am. In support of Lantern Lane Farm and The National Guard Association of Tennessee, this Veterans Day Honor Run, Walk, and Ruck is in memory of Lieutenant Colonel Shelli Huether of the Tennessee Air National Guard. Participants will choose between a 5k, 10k, or 8-hour marathon with cash prizes – veterans and active military get 50% off. 

 

HCC Veterans Day Rally and Cars On The Lawn Brentwood TN

HCC Veterans Day Rally (Nov. 11th)

The Harpeth Car Club will be recognizing Veterans Day with a Veterans Day Rally this Saturday from 7am- 2pm. This commemorative event will meet at the Global Motorsports Performance Center in Brentwood before riding to the FCM Cares Car Show in Murfreesboro for an auction. The day will end at Cars on the Lawn in Franklin.

 

Bourbon Bash Franklin TN Event

Bourbon Bash 2023 (Nov. 11th)

This year’s Bourbon Bash will be held on Saturday at 6pm in The Factory at Franklin, raising money for the Freedom & Whiskey Foundation, in support of Special Operation Forces. This annual evening of philanthropy will feature bourbon tastings, tasty bites, live music from Ronnie Bowman & the Tim Shelton Syndicat, silent and live auctions, and much more!

 

"Dearest Pauline: A Local WWII Healer Writes Home" - A Special Veterans Day Performance - The Franklin Theatre.

An honorary Veterans Day performance of “Dearest Pauline: A Local WWII Healer Writes Home” will take place at The Franklin Theatre this Saturday at 7:30pm. The letters were written by Dr. Price Hope Duff and the stage play is by Paula Hope Blackman, while the original music is by Jordan Lehning and Caitlin Rose. To commemorate Veterans Day, active and retired service members are invited to attend for free.

  • The Nolensville Farmers Market can be found every Saturday morning from 8am-12pm at the Historic Nolensville School. Local farmers and artisans always offer fresh, seasonal foods and unique crafts!

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary’s last session of their Fall Color Hikes series will take place this Saturday morning at 9:30am. Expert trail guides will lead you through this moderately difficult hike so you can observe the progression of the fall season! This seasonal event is for ages 15+ and minors must be accompanied by an adult.
