Nashville, Tenn. (June 13, 2023)—TennGreen Land Conservancy, a leading Tennessee environmental nonprofit, announced today the appointment of Andrew Rueff and Christopher C. Haigler to its Board of Directors. Both Rueff and Haigler’s outstanding professional achievements and commitment to bettering Tennessee will be invaluable in advancing the organization’s mission to conserve land where people and nature can thrive.
Andrew Rueff is an esteemed global businessman, and former Nashville resident, who brings an impressive breadth of experience to TennGreen Land Conservancy’s Board of Directors. Rueff is the Executive Chairman of SphereCommerce, LLC, a fully integrated payment and software experience platform, and TeamSnap, an all-encompassing group sports management platform. With more than 25 years of experience in the legal, banking, and financial technology sectors, he has demonstrated his ability to identify, structure, and negotiate strategic acquisitions, investments, and partner alliances. Rueff earned both a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Tennessee and a JD degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
In addition to Rueff’s appointment, TennGreen Land Conservancy is delighted to welcome Christopher C. Haigler of Nashville to its Board of Directors in an official capacity. Haigler’s appointment follows a year of service on TennGreen’s Board as a Young Leaders Council program intern.
Haigler is a Trust Officer with Southeastern Trust Company, where he manages and administers trust and fiduciary relationships in a multi-family office setting. Along with his impressive financial expertise and first-hand experience advancing land protection and stewardship efforts, Haigler has a deep passion and appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, backcountry adventuring, and overland travel—currently completing the Trans America Trail connecting Nags Head, North Carolina, to the Oregon coast one tract at a time. According to Haigler, one of his primary goals in joining TennGreen’s Board is to “contribute to enabling future generations to enjoy the natural scenery Tennessee has to offer.”
The addition of both Rueff and Haigler to TennGreen Land Conservancy’s Board of Directors underscores the organization’s commitment to partnering with dynamic leaders who have a deep-rooted connection to Tennessee and its natural world. In collaboration with the organization’s other leaders and partners around the state, they’ll guide TennGreen Land Conservancy toward innovative and impactful approaches to conservation, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for all Tennesseans.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Andrew and Christopher to our Board,” said Alice Hudson Pell, TennGreen Land Conservancy’s Executive Director. “As nature lovers living in East and Middle Tennessee, they understand and appreciate the unique characteristics of each region. That, coupled with their business acumen, will lend a necessary perspective to our organization, ensuring we can best support the needs of people and wildlife throughout all of Tennessee.”
