Fourth Capital Expands Team and Appoints Brad Nelson as Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking
Leading Nashville community bank hires seasoned banker as SVP before the opening of its new office in Franklin Square to expand its commercial banking business across Middle Tennessee
Nashville, Tenn. (May 25, 2023) – Fourth Capital, a leading community bank in Middle Tennessee, has announced that Brad Nelson will be joining the team as the senior vice president (SVP), commercial relationship manager. Nelson comes in with 20 years of experience in the banking industry and will focus on the growth of Fourth Capital’s commercial business by expanding its client base and growing existing accounts. Joining Nelson at Fourth Capital is long-time relationship manager assistant, Annette Sims, who will work as a relationship banking coordinator to help support Fourth Capital’s clients. Nelson and Sims will be based out of Fourth Capital’s downtown headquarters before relocating to the bank’s new Franklin Square branch following its opening later this summer.
“We are thrilled to have Brad join our team. He brings two decades of experience and a proven track record of success in commercial banking,” said Brian Heinrichs, CEO of Fourth Capital. “Brad is joining us at a pivotal time of growth for our bank and will help spearhead the opening of our new Franklin office this summer, expanding our reach into the region and furthering our continued commitment to local business owners – which we know are the nucleus that helps Nashville’s economy thrive.”
According to David McDaniel, who joined Fourth Capital as president and chief banking officer earlier this month, Nelson will play a critical role in building the bank’s presence in Williamson County.
“Brad and I both have a deep understanding of the impact Williamson County has on Middle Tennessee and what makes the Franklin community a special one to call home,” continued McDaniel. “The businesses and leaders crucial to this community need a bank like Fourth Capital that is focused on their needs first and foremost, as opposed to shareholders. We’re thrilled about adding new talent to our team and look forward to helping Franklin and Williamson County continue to thrive.”
Before accepting this position, Nelson served as senior vice president and senior lender with Cadence Bank, formerly Bancorp South. Nelson earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin (UT Martin). Additionally, he holds an MBA from UT Martin along with a graduate degree from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
