Picnic with the Library Brings in Record Amount for NPLF Program Funding

The 8th Annual Picnic with the Library took place Sunday, April 30 at the Main Library downtown to celebrate children’s literacy and raise funds for Nashville Public Library Foundation programs. The 2023 event was co-chaired by Julian and Amy Bryant, Robert and Kelsey Finger and Jeremy and Sara Garner. The chairs planned the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed event alongside vendors including event design, rentals and florals from Jackson Durham, balloon décor by Balloons and Confetti 615, arts and crafts from Little Art House Foundation, balloon artists by Party Animals and musical entertainment Lonnell Matthews, Jr. Chef’s Market catered the affair with sandwiches, wraps, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, fresh fruit and more. The Aero Bar provided bartending with donated product from Woodland Wine Merchant, Black Abbey Brewery, Nelson Brothers Classic Bourbon and Franklin Distillery’s vodka. Pandy Cotton Candy spun cotton candy treats for guests and Goo Goo Cluster provided confections for party favors.

This year’s event brought in a record amount of $104,000 to support NPL’s early literacy initiatives and productions.
