SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE WITH WILLIAMSON COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) is now accepting applications for a variety of temporary/seasonal jobs. If you are interested in working in the field of recreation, please apply! Williamson County Parks and Recreation offers a fun working environment and provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for community-based, interactive and rewarding work experiences. Several temporary, part-time positions are available at recreation facilities throughout Williamson County and are appropriate for teens and adults.

Available positions include event staff for the Tennessee Renaissance Festival; facility supervisors; sport officials; lifeguards (certification required), splash park attendants and pool cashiers; park naturalists and staff for Camp Will, a therapeutic summer day camp program. Some age restrictions apply. Positions are available at the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd.; Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd.; Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood, 920 Heritage Way; Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr.; the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd.; Timberland Park, located at mile marker 437.2 off the Natchez Trace Pkwy., Wilkins Branch Mountain Bike Park, 5664 Wilkins Branch Rd. in Franklin, and Castle Park, home of the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, at 2135 New Castle Rd. in Arrington.

Facility Supervisors

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is seeking supervisors for locations in Brentwood, Fairview, Franklin, Nolensville and Spring Hill. Customer service related positions. Job responsibilities include; but are not limited to, facility, wellness center, gymnasium and game room supervision; plus helping with general office work and area cleanliness. Day and evening hours; week day and weekend hours required. Starting at $11.00 per hour. Supervisor applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Background check required. Lifeguards

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is seeking lifeguards for locations in Brentwood, Fairview, Franklin, Nolensville and Spring Hill. Positions involve maintaining the safety of patrons and swimmers including water surveillance and rule enforcement, plus rescues and first aid when required; as well as, vacuuming and cleaning pool, cleaning facilities, completing daily reports and in-service training to maintain lifeguard skills. $13-$15.00 per hour. Park Naturalist

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is seeking a Park Naturalist. Potential applicants should have relevant knowledge or experience. The position involves basic grounds keeping, planning and conducting interpretive programming (i.e.: guided hikes, demonstrations, etc.), and trail maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to work in some of Williamson County’s most scenic areas. You will receive on the job training in the basics of interpretive programming and trail maintenance. Position runs May-August. Some evenings and weekends are required. This is an excellent resume builder in the outdoor recreation field. Must be able to perform job related duties as required. $15.00/hour. Background check is required. Pool Cashiers

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is seeking outdoor pool cashiers for customer service related positions located in Brentwood, Fairview, Franklin, and Nolensville. Job responsibilities include greeting patrons, answering phones, collecting admissions, processing payments, verifying scan cards, and completing financial reports. Daytime and evening hours available, both week day and weekend hours are required. Starting at $11.00 per hour. Cashier applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Background check required. Splash Park Attendants

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is seeking splash park attendants in Brentwood and Franklin. Positions involve maintaining the safety of patrons including patron surveillance and rule enforcement; as well as, cleaning facilities, completing daily reports and in-service training. $11.00 per hour. Sport Officials

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is looking for Adult and Youth Umpires! Applicants must be self-motivated and sports-oriented, with umpiring or playing experience (preferred). $25.00 per hour. Tennessee Renaissance Festival (TNRF) Aides

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is actively hiring now aids to help run the Tennessee Renaissance Festival located at Castle Park for every weekend in May. TNRF Aides are temporary employees for Williamson County Parks and Recreation and represent WCPR while working at TNRF. Team members will serve one of a number of roles to help on site at the festival. Roles include scanning tickets at the front gates, helping in the administrative offices during the festival hours, helping to organize the buses bringing guests to Castle Gwynn, checking bags, or helping with special events like the Queen’s Tea. Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 5 festival days and attend a mandatory orientation on Saturday April 29th from 9:00am-1:00pm. Hired staff will be required to complete a background check. The address for Castle Park is 2135 New Castle Rd., Arrington TN. The dates for the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are Saturday May 6th, Sunday May 7th, Saturday May 13th, Sunday May 14th, Saturday May 20th, Sunday May 21st, Saturday May 27th, Sunday May 28th, and Monday May 29th. Therapeutic Summer Day Camp (Camp Will)

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is seeking recreation, art, music and dance therapists and/or activities staff; nurses and counselors for a summer day camp for children and young adults with disabilities. Therapist/Activities positions involve planning and facilitating groups; assisting with behavioral management, as needed; promoting a safe and fun environment; and other duties as assigned. Nurse positions involve personal care, first aide, medication administration and other duties as assigned. RN or LPN certification required. Counselor positions are directly responsible for the care of campers, as needed; assisting with behavioral management, as needed; promoting a safe and fun environment; maintaining a clean work area at all times; and other duties as assigned. Students majoring in Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Special Education, Nursing, Social Work or other helping professions encouraged to apply. Starting at $15.00 per hour.
