Nashville Ballet to Open Nashville’s Nutcracker at TPAC this Week

Nashville Ballet will kick-off their annual holiday tradition of Nashville’s Nutcracker on Friday, Dec. 9. The stage production that inspired the Emmy Award-winning film, this fan-favorite event will feature elaborate costumes, immersive sets, live music by the Nashville Symphony, and a brand-new snow scene created by renowned designer Campbell Baird. In addition to the performance, audiences will be able to enjoy pre-performance photo ops and story times led by Nashville Ballet teachings artists. The performance will feature Nashville Ballet company dancers, members of NB2 and their Professional Division,  a Youth Cast of students from School of Nashville Ballet, Rejoice School of Ballet, and the Hispanic Family Foundation, and music by the Nashville Symphony.

Fresh off an Emmy Award-win for the film adaptation earlier this year, Nashville Ballet is thrilled to bring Music City’s favorite holiday tradition back to TPAC this December. Inspired by the rich history and cultural tapestry of our city, Nashville’s Nutcracker is the story audiences know and love with a uniquely-Music City Twist. The one-of-a-kind production features stunning costumes and sets by renowned designer Campbell Baird, including a brand-new snow scene this year, plus a holiday photo booth presented by the Tennessee Titans, free pre-performance story times with Nashville Ballet teaching artists, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed by the Nashville Symphony.
