GraceWorks announces Nelson Mazda Cool Springs as the presenting sponsor of the award-winning 2022 Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning in Cool Springs.
Now in its 23rd year, the Turkey Trot benefiting GraceWorks Ministries has become a family holiday event, drawing more than 3,000 participants annually. The event includes a 10K, 5K and a 1K Turkey Chase for ages 9 and younger. The 10K and 5K routes are USAT&F certified.
Nelson Mazda, located right on the Trot route, is a longtime sponsor of GraceWorks’ mission of Neighbor serving Neighbor, by the power of God’s grace. Their loyal support has provided Food, Shelter and Support to struggling families for years.
“We are mission-minded and realize that we all have a part to play in fulfilling our God-given talents,” said Nelson Mazda Managing Partner Chad Custer.
“We are thankful that the Lord is able to give through us to such incredible ministries like GraceWorks. GraceWorks is easy to partner with for many reasons, including how they help so many people in what is considered a thriving county where it is easy to look past those who need assistance.
This year’s Trot features a new parking plan, new medals for winners and an improved course around CoolSprings Galleria. Start/finish will be in the Meridian Cool Springs development at the PICA building, 3000 Meridian Blvd., Franklin.
Registration is available at https://turkeytrotfranklin.com (prices are $15 for the Kids 1K Turkey Chase, $45 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K.) A team of four people or more will receive additional $5 discounts for each registration.
Participants can also pay an extra $20 per registration to register as a VIT for Very Important Trotter. VIT extras include avoiding packet pick-up lines by receiving bibs and t-shirts by mail and exclusive parking close to the start/finish line.
The Turkey Trot is the winner of the 2022 Williamson’s Best Charity Event and placed second in the 2022 Franklin Sizzle Awards Best Charity Event.
Funds raised from sponsors and community registrations will benefit GraceWorks Ministries’ Food, Shelter and Support programs. GraceWorks is a Christ-centered nonprofit community resource center. For more than 25 years, they have provided food, shelter and support for Neighbors in need. GraceWorks invites all to join in their mission of Neighbor serving Neighbor, by the power of God’s grace.
