FROM NEW ORLEANS TO NASHVILLE, ASSEMBLY FOOD HALL BRINGS MARDI GRAS TO DOWNTOWN’S LARGEST ROOFTOP

Live jazz bands, NOLA inspired food and cocktails, Tarot Card Reader and more at Skydeck on Broadway

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 16, 2022) – Assembly Food Hall is transporting the spirit of New Orleans to downtown Nashville. The massive entertainment and dining destination located at Fifth + Broadway, will hold its first Mardi Gras celebration on Feb. 26, the Saturday before Fat Tuesday. The event will bring Bourbon Street to Broadway with celebrations all throughout Assembly Food Hall, including Skydeck on Broadway, Nashville’s largest rooftop.

Attendees will be immersed into the New Orleans culture through the entertainment, food, drink and activation specials offered for this Mardi Party. There will be live jazz music on Skydeck from Righteous Few Brass Band, followed by a headlining performance from Roland Barber & Friends.

“You don’t need to go to New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras. You can savor the sights, sounds and creole cuisine of the Big Easy right here in downtown Nashville,” said Cari Hallman, director of marketing for The Food Hall Co., Assembly Food Hall’s parent company. “This is the first year for Assembly Food Hall to celebrate Mardi Gras in Music City, and we are pulling out all of the stops. From Nashville’s largest rooftop, Skydeck on Broadway will transport you to Bourbon Street.”

Food specials will match the atmosphere. Assembly Food Hall is bringing a taste of NOLA to many of its bars and eateries, including Mardi Gras Donuts from Donut Distillery, King Cake from Cotton & Snow and The Philly Special’s Fried Shrimp Po Boy, served with a side of crab fries and white queso. There are also creole-inspired drink specials including Test Tube Shots and the infamous Hurricane featuring Bacardi.

A costume contest kicks off at 4:30 p.m., so guests are encouraged to throw on their beads, accessories and Mardi Gras colors for a chance to win big prizes. Guests who are brave enough can also have their fortune read from the complementary Tarot Card Reader.

The Mardi Party kicks off at noon at Assembly Food Hall on Saturday, Feb. 26. At 6 p.m., DJ Dirty Darren will keep this party going into the evening at Skydeck on Broadway. For more information about this event, visit https://www.assemblyfoodhall.com/event/mardi-gras-at-assembly-hall/?date=02/26-12:00pm.
