PAW PANTRY AND RABIES CLINICS RETURN TO ANIMAL CENTER IN 2022

Pet of the Week:  Tully is the life of the party!  She loves people, she loves toys, and she loves other dogs.  Her absolute favorite is time in the yard with a pool.  Tully knows sit, walks nicely on a leash, and is crate- and house-trained.  She is known to be destructive when left alone and not in a crate.  She’s a beautiful girl with a big personality who needs an active home.  Come visit Tully and all her friends at WCAC!

Monthly pet food giveaway and vaccination events help keep pets happy, healthy & at home

Franklin, TN – January 19, 2022 – Free pet food will be available on Friday, January 21 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the animal center.  Courtesy of Friends of Williamson County Animal Center, the monthly giveaway helps owners who may otherwise be forced to give up their pets due to financial reasons.

Started in January of 2021, this service has already provided more than 7,500 pounds of food to help feed nearly 300 pets.  Proof of Williamson County residence is required.

Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC) will also host its first rabies and microchip clinic of the year on Saturday, January 29 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  All pet owners are invited to bring their cats and/or dogs to receive rabies vaccinations for $10 and $15 microchips.

Payment can be made by cash and checks only, no credit or debit cards will be accepted.

Tennessee requires all cats and dogs to be vaccinated for rabies and have a current tag as proof.  These tags will be provided as part of the fee for vaccination.

WCAC is open to the public Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.; and closed Sunday.  The center is located at 106 Claude Yates Drive next to Franklin High School.
