ART, MUSIC AND RECREATION PROGRAMS OFFERED AT LOCAL RECREATION FACILITIES
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) hosts a variety of art, music and general recreation programs for children, teens, adults and seniors at recreation centers across Williamson County in Brentwood, Fairview, Franklin, Nolensville and Spring Hill. From oil and acrylic painting classes; to private guitar and piano lessons; to a variety of children’s performing arts programs, we offer an assortment of activities for a multitude of interests.
In July, a new Pre-School Prep program will be offered on Monday, July 5 – Thursday, July 8, from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., for kids ages 4 to 6. If your child is ready to learn the skills needed to be confident, prepared and excited for school, but isn’t quite ready for an all-day class; then this program is for you! Each day will have a theme to help guide class practice, play and learning. With reading, writing, mathematical concepts and hands-on activities; little ones will have fun seeing what school is all about! Cost for the four day program is $75.
A few spaces are also still available in WCPR summer camps for kids and teens. Spaces are filling up fast, so make your plans today; and don’t miss out on any of the fun!
Advanced registration is required for all programs. For more information on specific classes and activities, and to register, visit our website at www.wcparksandrec.com and click on the “Activities” tab.
