MARS PETCARE AND PEDIGREE FOUNDATION PARTNER WITH KYLE BUSCH TO HELP WCAC FIND LOVING HOMES FOR ANIMALS

Pet of the Week: Bruno is a high energy boy, who behaves a bit like a giant puppy.  He loves people and gets very excited to say hello.  He loves toys (fetch and tug-of-war are favorite games) and he plays nicely with other dogs.  He is sweet and goofy, but will require some training to improve his manners.  Come meet Bruno and all the adorable adoptables at WCAC!

No Fees for Adoptions at Williamson County Animal Center on June 18th & 19th

Those wishing to add a pet member to their family through adoption can do so at no cost this Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19 at Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC).  As part of the activities leading up to the NASCAR Cup Series return to Nashville, Mars Petcare and PEDIGREE Foundation have collaborated to host adoption sponsorship events at three locations, including WCAC.

Each adopter will also receive a “starter kit” that includes food, treats and other items to help make their new pet feel at home.

While making his way around the Nashville Superspeedway this Sunday, Kyle Busch will show off a new paint scheme for the No. 18 car that includes images of rescue dogs.  Busch’s pit crew will also be joined by a cast of canines from participating animal centers in the form of cutouts on his pit box.

WCAC’s hours of operation for the no cost adoption event are Friday, June 18 from 10:00am – 6:00pm and Saturday, June 19 from 11:00am – 3:00pm.  For more information call (615) 790-5590 or send an email to animal@williamsoncounty-tn.gov.

For Williamson County residents who could use a little help feeding pets they already have, WCAC will also be hosting its monthly “Paw Pantry” on June 18.  From 10:00am until noon, or as supplies last, the Center will distribute free cat and dog food from the Center’s parking lot.  Proof of County residency is required.
