Youth and Adult Athletic Leagues in Fairview

Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Fairview Complex announces Youth Basketball and Adult Co-Ed Volleyball Leagues! 

Staffer Rick Kimmel heads up the Fairview Youth Basketball Leagues for players ages 5-18. Registration is currently underway and is being accepted through Fri., Oct. 12, with registration forms available at the Fairview Recreation Complex. Cost for each player is $80 and includes uniforms. Practices are tentatively scheduled to begin on Mon., Oct. 29 with the first game played on Dec. 1. 9/24/07-Community Informational Meeting- from 6-8 p.m. @ the Fairview Recreation Center

 

9/25/07-Registration Clinic (current registered players only/will have registration at clinic) @ Westwood elementary

5-6 yrs old from 5:30 to 7:00 pm

11-14 yrs old from 7:00 to 8:30 pm

  

9/27/07-Registration Clinic (current registered players only/will have registration at clinic) @ Westwood elementary

7-10 yrs old from 5:30 to 7:00 pm

15-18  yrs old from 7:00 to 8:30 pm

 

10/2/07-NYSCA(National Youth Sports Coaching Association) certification (required for all coaches) from 6-9 pm

The Registration clinics are to help teach the players fundamentals before the season’s practices begin.  We will be using volunteers and WCPR staff to administer the clinics.  Only registered players will be able to participate in these clinics, but we will offer registration at the clinics.

In addition, Sarah Beyer is collecting names and information from folks interested in playing on an Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League, coaching a team or sponsoring a team with your business. The 9-person teams will include 5 men and 4 women each, beginning on Mon., Oct. 29. Practices and games will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays. League fees are $250 per team.
