Xtended Fun Day Camp
Laurie Kamunen, Program Administrator, said the new “Xtended Fun” camps came at the request of the public. “Many parents participating in our traditional seven-week camps at area elementary schools have requested for several years that the department’s day camp program be extended. We are pleased to be able to accommodate their needs.” The traditional summer day camp runs June 3-July 19 this year, followed by the “Xtended Fun” camp, July 22-August 2. Kamunen adds, “Our ‘Xtended Fun’ camp will offer the same supervised activities parents are accustomed to at our summer day camps, and will be staffed by our trained camp workers.”
Registration begins April 29 for all WCPRD summer day camp programs. Participants may register for the traditional program and/or the new “Xtended Fun” camps. For registration dates and more information about camps, visit www.wcparksandrec.com.
All registration is first come-first served and will close when programs are full. Parents can save time by downloading and completing all required forms from www.wcparksandrec.com prior to the registration session. To be eligible for the summer camp program, parents or legal guardians of all campers must live or work in Williamson County and must register in person during the designated times at the locations listed on the website.
