Women of Williamson hosting Stables & Silks Kentucky Derby party

Horse lovers, racing fans and bourbon afficionados will want to mark their calendars for Stables & Silks, Williamson County’s premier Kentucky Derby party, on Saturday, May 7, at Westhaven Golf Club.
Hosted by Women of Williamson, the event promises to be a great time at the Derby-themed party benefiting scholarships for deserving Williamson County women and Bridges Domestic Violence Center.
Beginning at 4 p.m., Stables & Silks will broadcast the Kentucky Derby and preliminary races and feature plenty of traditional Derby fare, Mint Juleps, roses and fancy hats. Music, dancing and a silent auction are part of the festivities. The silent auction features several unique items, including a trip to the Gulf Coast, an Angel’s Envy Kentucky bourbon master class and party for 12, spa outings, celebrity memorabilia, and theater and entertainment packages.
