“Twice as Nice” Friday and Saturday at Williamson County Animal Center

Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC) in Franklin announces $2 adoption fees on all shelter pets on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19.

The shelter is participating in the News 2 WKRN “Twice as Nice” Adopt-a-thon along with Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC).   In addition, adoption partners from Maury County Animal Services will be at the Williamson County shelter with more dogs and cats to choose from.

The “Twice as Nice” Adopt-a-thon helps brings awareness to the large number of adoptable cats and dogs in local shelters and encourages Middle Tennesseans to “Adopt-Don’t Shop.”

All the dogs and cats adopted this weekend are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered and microchipped.

Williamson County Animal Center is open Friday until 6:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The shelter is located at 106 Claude Yates Dr., next to Franklin High School, and the phone number is (615) 790-5590. Adoptable animals can be viewed at www.adoptwcac.org.
