WCPR Adult Basketball Leagues
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Athletic Division is collecting teams for their Sunday Afternoon Basketball League. This open league will begin play in late December or early January, with game times from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays in the newly renovated Academy (Old BGA Gymnasium). 2007 WINTER TENNIS CLINICS “BOUNCE” INTO BRENTWOOD
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Athletics Division welcomes the second session of winter indoor tennis clinics beginning Mon., Jan. 8 at the Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood. Adult and Junior clinics in beginner through advanced levels will run for 6 weeks through Feb. 16. Space is limited, and clinic fees must be paid in full in order to secure placement. WILLIAMSON COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION “RUNS” INTO THE NEW YEAR

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department launches two running programs for enthusiasts of the track.  First, beginning Thursday, January 11th through March 1st at 5:30 p.m., instructor Gary Gosch will conduct “Running”, a class for the after Christmas/new year’s resolution crowd at the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood. Everyone from beginner joggers to advanced runners will receive a personalized training schedule.  Cost for the class is $50.00 for 8 weeks.

 

Then, Coach Gosch takes on the “Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon” by conducting a 15-week training class geared toward distance and competitive running.  This specialized training kicks off on Saturday, January 13th at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road in Franklin, and lasts through April 21st.  Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and include an education on injury prevention and training.  Each participant will receive a personalized training schedule and a Coolmax® shirt.  Mr. Gosch, a running enthusiast, has competed for over 30 years with a 20-marathon roster of accomplishments (including Boston) to his credit.  Cost for this class is $100.00.
