20TH ANNIVERSARY FAIR SET FOR AUGUST 2-10

FRANKLIN, Tenn. — As the Williamson County Fair Board plans for its 20th Anniversary Fair, August 2 – 10, 2024, at the AgExpo Park in Franklin, accolades from international and state organizations have recognized the volunteers’ work with wins across several categories of awards.

The International Association of Fairs and Exposition recognized the 2023 Williamson County Fair with several honors in the Hall of Communications category for its social media and promotional posters, as well as first place in Sponsorship Innovation for the Fair’s newest attraction, “The Pickin’ Porch” sponsored by Backyard Outfitters. The Fair also earned recognition in the Sponsorship category for Farmer Appreciation Night, sponsored by The Factory at Franklin.

The Williamson County Fair also clinched first runner-up in the Merit Award competition from the Tennessee Association of Fairs, solidifying its reputation for overall excellence in sharing knowledge of agriculture through community partnerships and programs, as well as awards in categories ranging from digital media, digital scrapbook and advertising to the Chick Hatchery and Embryology exhibit.

Williamson County’s own 2023 Fairest of the Fair, Laura Kennedy, showcased her grace and poise as she competed in the Tennessee Association of Fairs State Pageant, ultimately earning the esteemed title of 2nd Runner-up.

“Excitement is building as we make plans for our 20th Anniversary Celebration,” says Fair Chairman Diane Giddens. “As the largest, single event in Williamson County, the Fair is produced by over 1,200 of your friends, families and neighbors and we want to encourage everyone to show their appreciation to our volunteers. Your competitive entries, attendance, support and smiles are the momentum that keeps the fair one of the best in the State of Tennessee!”

The 20th Annual Williamson County Fair will be held Friday, August 2 through Saturday, August 10 at the Williamson County AgExpo Park, and will be marked by 9 Days of Fun celebrating this important milestone.
