WCPR OFFERS THERAPEUTIC RECREATION PROGRAMS

Year-Round Activities Offered in Franklin, Spring Hill and Nolensville, TN

The Therapeutic Recreation programs offered by Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) provide year-round leisure activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our team of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS) conduct monthly ongoing programs such as Potluck and Bingo, recreation and game nights, interactive cooking classes, Friday Fun Day outings, fitness fun, bowling, crafts and creative opportunities to improve the physical, cognitive, social and leisure needs of every participant while assisting in the development of skills and knowledge for daily living and community involvement.

WCPR currently offers Therapeutic programs at three locations: the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd.; the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr.; and the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. All programs are open to the public. Some programs are P.A.L.S. Programs (People at Leisure with Support), and a caregiver is required to stay with those needing support. Participant ages vary and, registration is required for most programs. Information about our upcoming winter programs and registration is available at www.wcparksandrec.com.
