Franklin, TN 2019 – Vulcan Materials Quarry Crusher Run is set to put Nashville-area runners and walkers to the ultimate test on Saturday, November 9 at Franklin Quarry on Downs Blvd. Runners, from recreational to elite, competing in one of two race options: the 3.6 mile Quarry Crusher Run or the 7.2 mile Double Crusher. The Vulcan Quarry Crusher Run will take place on November 9, 2019; Single and Double Crusher start at 8:00a.m.; Registration opens at 6:30a.m.; first racers projected to cross finish line at 8:20a.m. Vulcan Materials Franklin Quarry, 1001 Downs Blvd., Franklin, TN. The Vulcan Quarry Crusher Run Series originated in 2012 in Columbia, S.C. as a 3.7 mile race taking runners on a steep course to the granite quarry’s floor and back up to the finish line. In 2016, the Quarry Crusher Run expanded to Vulcan quarries in other cities. Vulcan Materials Company now hosts nine events in eight states, each race benefiting a local community partner.
