United Way of Greater Nashville (UWGN) announces opening of the Community Impact Funding Agency Eligibility Review process on November 2, 2026, and closes on November 20, 2026. This is the first important step to be invited to the full application for Community Impact funds in the ten-county area.
For the 2027-2030 Community Impact Funding cycle, UWGN will release three (3) separate opportunities for funding – Financial Security, Children and Youth Thriving, and Healthy Communities.
The 2027-2030 Community Impact Funding opportunities are designed to advance UWGN’s bold goals of helping 500,000 people attain upward mobility and uplifting 4.5 million lives across Middle Tennessee.
Through this funding process, UWGN will invest in strategies that produce measurable outcomes, strengthen community partnerships, and contribute to long-term community change. In addition to funding, grantees selected for funding in Financial Security and Children and Youth Thriving will participate in Learning Communities that support shared learning, stronger coordination, and continuous improvement across the region. To be considered for funding from 2027-2030, an agency must complete the Agency Eligibility Review process by November 20, 2026. All eligibility requirements can be found on our resource page.
Trained local volunteers are central to United Way’s funding review process. As community members who live and work across the region, they bring local insight, firsthand understanding of community needs and a shared commitment to responsible stewardship of donor dollars.
