Two Events to Support At-Risk Youth in Williamson County – My Friend’s House Mardi Gras Ball and Krewe Party put the fun in fundraising

Franklin, TN January 18, 2018– Mardi Gras Ball is a unique event that provides an opportunity to celebrate with those in the community who share the same vision and heart for the special at-risk youth we serve. All proceeds will go to My Friend’s House Family & Children’s services. The 2018 Mardi Gras Ball will be held on Saturday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. at Embassy Suite located at 820 Crescent Center Drive, Franklin, TN 37067.

Every year, amazing couples are nominated for the Mardi Gras Ball Royal Court.  With a unique voting system, nominees battle each other to see who can raise the most money through contributions to My Friend’s House. Then, at the Mardi Gras Ball, the couple that raised the most money will be crowned King and Queen OR maybe Queen and Queen. The 2018 Mardi Gras Ball Royal Court nominees are:  sisters, Baley & Blair Bodden, Greg and Darci Caesar, J. Edward & Brenda Campbell, and Steve & Stacey Desoto.

“The Mardi Gras is a fun and exciting way for community members to give much needed support to our organization,” Says Tina Edwards, Executive Director of My Friend’s House, “ In fact, nearly 20% of our annual budget comes from the Mardi Gras Ball and pre-event Krewe Party.”

The Ball will also include a four-course dinner and dancing with live music provided by Gary Jenkins & Thundering Hearts. Tickets for the event are $150 each or $1,250 for a table of ten. Sponsorships are available from $500 – $10,000.

Part of the Mardi Gras Ball festivities includes the pre-event Krewe Party, which will be held at Wild Wing Café Thoroughbred Village Shopping Center: 545 Cool Springs Blvd, Franklin, TN 37067 on Tuesday February, 06, 2018. Tickets are $20.00 per person and doors open at 6 p.m.

“The Krewe party is for supporters who can’t always drop $150 for a formal event ticket,” explains Tina Edwards, “What’s special about this event is that it helps raise both awareness and money in a way that anyone can participate in.”

The Krewe party includes a silent auction and is a great way to meet the Mardi Gras Royal Court nominees, vote for your favorite couple and support My Friend’s House while enjoying a laid back, Fat Tuesday type atmosphere.
