TWISTED TENNESSEE: TWO SIDES TO EVERY TALE

TWISTED TENNESSEE: TWO SIDES TO EVERY TALE

On Friday, October 12, 2018, Twisted Tennessee will feature six living history vignettes that relate differing sides to three creepy and twisted Tennessee tales. Visitors will be taken on a guided journey from one vignette to the next, hearing the two sides to each tale, interacting with historical characters and coming to their own conclusions about the “truth” of the stories heard.  At the end of their journey, they will seek respite in our Two-Tales Tavern where they can enjoy apple cider (of the soft variety) and ginger snaps while discussing their thoughts on the truth of the tales they’ve heard.  There will also be 18th century murder ballads performed at the Two-Tales Tavern and storytelling.

This event is recommended for children ages 10 and up.  Admission is $15 for adults (ages 16 and up) and $8.00 for ages 10 to 15. A group rate of $50 is available for 4 adults paying with one payment (*must be paid for with a single payment). Tickets are available on the website (https://travellersrestplantation.org/upcomingevents) and through Eventbrite.

Who are we? Historic Travellers Rest was built in 1799 and is the oldest house museum open to the public in Nashville.
