Thomas Family Benefit

Thomas Family Benefit

The Downtown Neighborhood Association and Kimbro’s Café will host a pot-luck supper Tuesday, February 17, at 6 p.m. to benefit the Sherry and Kenny Thomas family, who lost everything in an early morning fire at their Church Street home Thursday.

“Neighbors and friends are urged to bring a dish and whatever they can to help the family,” said Will Jordan, Kimbro’s manager and co-owner. Contributions will be collected by the Downtown Neighborhood Association and given to the Thomas family.

“The Thomas family lost everything,” said David Morris, DNA president. “They’re our neighbors, and we’d like to do everything we can to help.”

Local musicians will perform at the Tuesday benefit. In addition to the pot luck supper, a cash bar will be open, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the family.

Anyone who us unable to attend Tuesday’s potluck supper but would like to help the Thomas family can make checks payable to Sherry and Kenny Thomas and send them to:
