Historic Walking Tours (July 21st)

Stroll through the halls of The Factory at Franklin as their staff historian teaches you about its eventful past! Learn about how a former industrial plant was transformed into The Factory we all know and love. Covering 93 years of history in 45 minutes, join this tour to find out more about this local landmark’s past while seeing all of the shops, restaurants, and events that you can enjoy now in the present!

Family Firefly Hike (July 21st)

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary is hosting a Family Firefly Hike this Friday from 6:30 pm- 8 pm. This educational outing is open to anyone at least 4 years of age and aims to teach you about nature during the night! This easy hike through Owl Hill’s meadow and orchard will educate adventurers on owl hunting tactics, fireflies, nocturnal animals, and more!

Bluegrass Along the Harpeth (July 21-22)

Bluegrass Along the Harpeth will take place this weekend on Franklin’s town square. On Friday July 21st, you can relax with some of the best bluegrass bands around, and on Saturday July 22nd, you are invited to enjoy the festival’s individual instruments and band contests! With live entertainment as well as food and craft vendors, you are sure to have an enriching weekend in downtown Franklin! 

 

Movies in the Park (July 21st)

The City of Franklin likes to celebrate the summer season with Movies in the Park! Pinkerton Park is home to this series of outdoor movies taking place every summer weekend in Franklin from June 9th- July 21st. For the last session of Movies in the Park, they will be showing Shrek, so make sure to pack a chair or blanket to enjoy fun movies and food trucks with the Franklin community!

 

 

Farmers Markets (July 22nd)

These local farmers markets prove the importance of contributing to your community and provide the perfect opportunity to support your local farmers, kitchens, and artisans! 

  • You can find The Franklin Farmers Market every Saturday morning behind The Factory at Franklin with numerous vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items, and local art.
  • The Nolensville Farmers Market will be taking place every Saturday from 8am-12pm at the Historic Nolensville School. Local farmers and artisans will offer fresh, seasonal foods and unique crafts! 

 

Creative Writing Workshop (July 22nd)

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary will be hosting a Creative Writing Workshop from 9:30am- 12pm this Saturday. If you enjoy nature and creative writing, you will love this workshop in Brentwood where participants are invited to write in response to three prompts, surrounded and inspired by the nature of Owl’s Hill!

Angel Heart Farm Charity Match (July 22nd)

The Franklin Polo Academy will be hosting the Angel Heart Farm Charity Match this Saturday at Harlinsdale Farm. This event will kick off with an opening match between MTSU and FPA at 6 pm before the feature match between Tennessee and Kentucky at 7 pm! Experience an evening of entertainment for a cause with professional polo, family lawn games, half-time stick horse races, and more!

Vince Gill: The Franklin Theatre will be hosting their Annual Fundraising Event featuring multi-award-winning country artist Vince Gill this Sunday at 7 pm!

The Sound of Music (July 21-23): Williamson County Parks & Recreation’s Rising Stars will be performing variations of The Sound of Music (Youth Edition) this weekend in Franklin at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park!

JD Souther (July 21st): Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee JD Souther will perform at The Franklin Theatre this Friday at 8 pm! 

Wendy Moten (July 22nd): The Voice finalist and Memphis native Wendy Moten will be at The Franklin Theatre this Saturday at 8 pm!
