Senior Bingo (March 7)

Senior Bingo will take place every Tuesday for the rest of the month of March at the Eastern Flank Event Facility from 2pm-3pm! Stop by for an afternoon of bingo, prizes, and fun! Light refreshments are provided and it is free to play, as long as you make sure to register in advance! 

 

Letters from Home: The 50 States Tour (March 9)

Franklin’s Old Glory Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will be representing Tennessee in Letters from Home: The 50 States Tour this Thursday at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center from 5:30pm- 9pm! This theatrical performance will enrapture audiences all over the country with singing, dancing, and comedy. Proceeds will benefit the Old Glory Chapter’s service projects in Franklin and Williamson County, so don’t miss out on the silent auction preceding the show! 

 

Naturalist Workshops at Owl’s Hill (March 11)

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary’s March Naturalist Workshop consists of the basics of bird watching and identification, just in time for Spring Migration! Learn how to use binoculars, identify different types of birds through sight and sound, and share your findings! This naturalist workshop is for ages 14+ and minors must be accompanied by a registered adult. 

 

Farmers Markets (March 11)

These local farmers markets prove the importance of contributing to your community and provide the perfect opportunity to support your local farmers, kitchens, and artisans! 

  • You can find The Franklin Farmers Market every Saturday morning behind The Factory at Franklin with numerous vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items, and local art. 
  • The Nolensville Winter Farmers Market will be taking place every Saturday until April from 10am-1pm at the Mill Creek Church of Christ. Local farmers and artisans will offer fresh, seasonal foods and unique crafts! 

 

Sprint Triathlon & Expo (March 11)

The Franklin Recreation Complex will be hosting a sprint triathlon and expo for anyone 13 and older this Saturday at 11am! The triathlon includes a 300-yard swim in the indoor pool, a 20-minute bike ride in the cycle room, and a 2-lap run on the outdoor trail. Participants will even receive a t-shirt and medal, so make sure to register soon for this fun activity! 

 

1971: The Greatest Year in Music (March 11)

The Franklin Theatre is hosting a night of music from 1971 this Saturday at 7pm! Some of Nashville’s most talented musicians will perform in this multi-media show, in tribute to “the greatest year in music”. Featuring music from Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, and more, this will be a great night of great music and memories! 

 

Celtic Rhythms on Fire (March 11-12)

The Nashville Irish Step Dancers will be performing Celtic Rhythms on Fire at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center on March 11th and 12th! Join them for a celebration of Irish dance and music, featuring traditional elements like jig and hornpipe, as well as progressive stylings. The Nashville Irish Step Dancers have won numerous Championships and are prepared to entertain you with a vibrant and spirited performance! 

 

Bob Ross® Oil Painting Workshop (March 12)

This Sunday afternoon, Certified Ross Instructor® Quintin Burlingame will be leading a class of all skill levels to paint a sunset over a riverbend using the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique®. Register now for this educational and fun workshop at Williamson County Parks & Recreation from 1:30pm- 4pm!
