Veterans Day Parade (Nov. 11)

Put together by the City of Franklin and local radio station WAKM AM-950, this year’s Veterans’ Day Parade will take place in Downtown Franklin this Friday at 11 a.m.. Traveling down Main Street, the parade will include Williamson County JROTC units and marching bands. A reception for local veterans and their families will be held at the Williamson County Archives at 9 a.m. before the parade. Remember and honor those who served at Williamson County’s Veterans’ Day Parade! 

 

Scout Owl Prowl (Nov. 11)

Join Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary this Friday and prowl for their resident owls! Beginning at 5:30 p.m. with an educational presentation on owls, you will learn about their habitats, behaviors, and language. After the presentation, you will be invited on a night hike into their forest where your expert guides will assist in finding the owls until 7:30 p.m.. This event is for ages 9+ and attendees must be able to stand still and stay quiet. Visit Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary this Friday and see these amazing creatures in action!

 

Mardi Gras Krewe Party (Nov. 11)

To kick off their Mardi Gras Ball season, My Friend’s House is hosting their Mardi Gras Krewe Party! This family-friendly event will be held Friday night at Battle Mountain in College Grove. From 6 p.m.- 9 p.m there will be games, activities, silent auctions, and voting for your favorite Mardi Gras Court Couple! Food and drink options include New Orleans beignets, Mardi Gras pralines, beer, wine, and more! Tickets start at $35 and all proceeds go to My Friend’s House, a group-care facility assisting at-risk boys. Help support those in your community and prepare for a night of fun at the Mardi Gras Krewe Party!

 

Pickin’ Lieper’s Fork Antique & Vintage Show (Nov. 11-13)

Pickin’ Lieper’s Fork Antique & Vintage Show offers a weekend of antiques as well as vintage and artisan goods. This event located in the village of Lieper’s Fork is free to attend and includes a guest food truck each day. Kicking off Friday from 12 p.m.- 6 p.m. and continuing throughout the weekend from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, visit Lieper’s Fork for a day of pickin’ unique treasures! 

 

Painting the Parks (Nov. 11-13)

The Chestnut Group is partnering with Friends of Franklin Parks this weekend to host Painting The Parks Art Show & Sale! Among the beautiful green scenery at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park, there will be art for sale benefitting Friend of Franklin Parks’ mission to preserve cultural and natural resources as well as enhance and expand the park experience for present and future generations. To kick off the weekend, there will be a Happy Trails Cocktail Hour on Nov. 11th from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m.! Stop by this weekend, buy a beautiful painting, and support Friends of Franklin Parks in protecting and promoting our local parks and green spaces!

 

Southern Men’s Showcase (Nov. 12)

The Factory at Franklin is hosting the Southern Men’s Showcase this Saturday from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.! This event isn’t just for the guys – there is something for everyone! From exotic cars and racing simulators to sporting gear and artisan booths, this event has the best activities and buying-opportunities. Interactive activities include axe throwing, billiards, and more! Tastings by local distilleries, local craft beers, cigars, and food options will be available for you to enjoy. Stop by the Southern Men’s Showcase this Saturday and experience the best cars, gear, activities, and brews. 

 

Kid’s Class: Mycology (Nov. 12)

At this informative kids’ mycology class, your child will learn all about mushrooms, their life cycle, and more! They will even learn how to identify the fungi while on a mushroom hunting hike at Stoney Creek Farm. This educational adventure is $25 per child and parents/grandparents can attend for free. Join Stoney Creek Farm this Saturday from 2 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. to learn about the magic of mushrooms!

 

Bourbon Bash (Nov. 12)

The Annual Bourbon Bash at Lieper’s Fork is back! Benefiting the Gary Sinise Foundation, this year’s event invites you to celebrate America’s defenders in an beautiful, intimate setting with selections of bourbons and whiskeys from Tennessee as well as Kentucky. Enjoy this Saturday night at the Bourbon Bash from 6 p.m.- 10 p.m. with Catering by Suzette, silent and live auctions, entertainment, cigars, and entertainment!

 

Math & Music Extravaganza (Nov. 13) 

Do you have a child with an interest in math or music? Check out the Math & Music Extravaganza at the Brentwood’s Mathnasium this Sunday from 4:30 p.m.- 6 p.m.! The Mathnasium in Brentwood is partnering with the Liberty Music Academy to host this fun evening of activities, challenges, and free prizes! Explore all kinds of instruments with their “musical petting zoo” and engage your brain with group math activities. Plan an evening with your child at this free event promoting music and math in a fun, rewarding way! 

 

Sunday Harvest Supper (Nov. 13)

Join the Nolensville Farmers Market in celebrating the season with a taste of the fall harvest at Pork Belly Farmhouse! This farm-to-table dinner is made with sourced ingredients from local farms and features wine and cocktail pairings al a carte. Tickets are $100 and include a 5-course dinner as well as non-alcoholic beverages! This Sunday Harvest Supper will be from 6 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.. Experience the taste of fall with Nolensville Farmers Market and Pork Belly Farmhouse’s talented culinary team!
