Libations, Legends & Lore (Oct. 20)

Leiper’s Fork Distillery is hosting Libations, Legends & Lore every Thursday night of October from 6:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.! You will start off the night with a cocktail class to learn how to create a signature drink using spirits from the distillery. After familiarizing yourself with Leiper’s Fork’s spirits, you will learn more about the spirits of Williamson County’s past at their fire-lit courtyard. Once you have been sufficiently spooked, you will be invited on a candle-lit tour of the distillery. Join Leiper’s Fork Distillery for an evening of spirits and fun!

 

The Rambling at Southall (Oct. 20-22)

Taking place every Thurs.- Sat. of the first three weeks in October, The Rambling at Southall offers a multi-course feast of fall flavors. Hosted by Tyler Brown and Executive Chef Andrew Klamar, this outdoor dining experience provides you and your loved ones with a meal and games celebrating Tennessee’s abundant agriculture. You will enjoy this dinner at The Conservatory Terrace and have peace knowing your food was cooked over an open fire with ingredients grown in Southall’s gardens and greenhouses just a few feet away. Honor Tennessee’s arable land and experience the taste of fall under the stars with the Rambling at Southall.

 

The Academy of St. Martin in The Fields Chamber Ensemble (Oct. 21)

Formed in 1967 with membership from the distinguished chamber orchestra Academy of St. Martin in The Fields, this Chamber Ensemble led by Academy Director Tomo Keller is coming to Franklin! If you’re a fan of the arts or enjoy the beautiful sounds of a string orchestra, join the world-renowned Academy of St. Martin in The Fields Chamber Ensemble at the Franklin Theatre this Friday night!

 

Race for the Horse (Oct. 22)

The Tennessee Equine Hospital is holding its first “Race for the Horse” 5K Race and 1-mile Fun Run this Saturday at Sarah Benson Park in Thompson’s Station at 8:30 a.m.! Proceeds for this event will be donated to Tennessee Equine Hospital’s endowment towards the Foundation for the Horse Campaign, ensuring quality education of future horse doctors and aid for horses in crisis situations. Come to this family-friendly affair ready to race for the horse! 

 

Bingo and Bagels (Oct. 22)

The John P. Holt Brentwood Library is hosting Bingo and Bagels this Saturday from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m.! You can enjoy this Saturday morning with a fun game and breakfast alongside old and new friends. The winner will be taking home a prize! Register now for bingo with a side of bagels at the Brentwood library! 

 

Fall Native Plant Sale (Oct. 22)

Fall is the best time to plant! Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary is having their Fall Native Plant Sale this Saturday from 10 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.. Browse their selection of native seeds, perennials, trees, and shrubs to support Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary and Middle Tennessee’s Wild Ones Chapter. Your garden will be thanking you, come springtime!

 

Shibori Dye Class (Oct. 22)

Stoney Creek Farm is hosting a beginner’s class on Shibori! This ancient Japanese art technique of manual tie-dying will be taught from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. this Saturday. Discover a new hobby and learn about the folding, binding, stitching, and dipping techniques that go into the art of Shibori at Stoney Creek Farm! 

 

Music & Whiskey (Oct. 22)

Leiper’s Fork Distillery will be hosting a Stillhouse Sessions event with Jenny Teator and musical duo Striking Matches this Saturday night at 8 p.m.! At this outdoor event, there will be picnic tables for seating, but you can bring your own chair or blanket to guarantee a seat. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and while there will be general admission tickets available at the event, VIP tickets include a meet and greet with the performers, preferred seating, a signed poster, and a private tasting of Leiper’s Fork Distillery’s spirits. With an onsite food truck and the distillery’s bars, this will be a great night of music! 

 

Jazzmania (Oct. 22)

The Factory will be holding its annual Jazzmania this Saturday night from 6 p.m.- 10 p.m.. Connect with music from the city’s best local jazz musicians, and enjoy your time among friends and family with great food and great fun! With live music consisting of new artists and seasoned professionals alike, this will definitely be a night to remember!
