Williamson County Performing Arts Center Welcomes Thomas Gabriel and Musicians Who Performed with Johnny Cash
The Williamson County Performing Arts Center (WCPAC) at Academy Park and the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) invite audiences to experience the music and legacy of Johnny Cash with The Tennessee Four featuring Thomas Gabriel, Saturday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m.
This is not your typical tribute show. The Tennessee Four brings together Johnny Cash’s grandson, Thomas Gabriel, with musicians who toured, performed, and recorded with the Man in Black himself. Gabriel grew up on the road with his grandfather, who became a major influence on his life and music. With a vocal style reminiscent of Cash, Gabriel brings a family connection and personal perspective to the songs audiences have loved for generations.
Joining Gabriel are musicians with remarkable ties to Cash’s career. Guitarist Kerry Marx toured the world with Cash for five years. Bassist Dennis Crouch performed on Cash’s final two albums, including his last recording, “Engine 143,” and drummer Paul Leim performed with Cash on television specials and recordings.
Together, The Tennessee Four continues Johnny Cash’s music through the family and musicians who knew it firsthand.
