The Franklin Band Launches First Annual Golf Tournament to Support Student Musicians

Franklin, TN — April 2026 — The Franklin High School Band is excited to announce its First Annual Golf Tournament, a new community event bringing together supporters, families, and local businesses for a day of golf and giving. The tournament will take place at Vanderbilt Legends Club, offering a premier setting for this special inaugural fundraiser.

Golfers of all skill levels are invited to participate in this exciting inaugural event, which will feature a full day on the course, along with contests, prizes, and opportunities for participants to engage with the Franklin Band community.

Funds raised from the event will go directly toward purchasing much-needed instruments and equipment, ensuring that student musicians have access to the tools they need to succeed and continue the program’s tradition of excellence.

“We thought we’d try a new event that brings our community together, feels fun and relaxed, and at the same time makes a real difference for our students,” said Dr. Michael Holland, Director of Bands at Franklin High School. “Every dollar raised from this event will help put quality instruments and equipment into our students’ hands, giving them the opportunity to grow and perform, while also helping to sustain our music program.”

Participants can register as individuals or teams, and a range of sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and community partners looking to show their support. Sponsors will benefit from strong visibility throughout the event while playing a vital role in supporting music education at Franklin High School.

The Franklin Band has long been a source of pride for the community, and this tournament marks the beginning of what is sure to become a cherished annual tradition.
