FRANKLIN, Tenn. — September 28, 2026 — After an overwhelmingly positive response from the community last year, The Franklin Band is bringing back its Fall Fruit Sale giving families and community members another opportunity to enjoy fresh fruit while supporting Franklin High School’s band students and two local nonprofit organizations.

The Franklin Band originally revived its fruit sale last year for the first time in several years as part of its fundraising efforts for the band’s historic trip to the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The community’s enthusiastic response made it clear that the tradition was worth bringing back, and this year’s sale is bigger with an ambitious goal of donating 4,000 pounds of fruit to local organizations.

Through the sale, customers can purchase fresh fruit for their families, ship boxes nationwide as holiday gifts, or donate fruit directly to GraceWorks and The Nashville Food Project. The Franklin Band hopes to collect enough donated orders to provide 2,000 pounds of fruit to each organization, helping bring fresh produce to individuals and families in the community during the holiday season.

“We were thrilled by the response to the fruit sale last year,” said Michael Holland, Director of Bands at Franklin High School. “What started as a way to help fund our Rose Parade trip quickly became something the community really embraced. We are excited to bring it back this year and give people an easy way to support our students and program. Community is one of our core values, and we are especially proud that the fruit sale gives people an opportunity to not only support us, but also give back to organizations doing important work right here in our community.”

The sale features fresh fruit from Florida Indian River Groves, with options available for personal orders, holiday gifts, and donations. Orders can be placed online through November 20 or by placing an order with a member of The Franklin Band.
