Predators, Titans, Nashville SC, and GraceWorks Included in Brownland Farm Proposal

A new proposal for Brownland Farm would bring sports facilities, mixed-use development, youth athletics, retail, wellness services, and recreation to Franklin, TN.

Brentwood-based BLVD Capital has proposed The Banks at Brownland for the 233-acre Brownland Farm property on Hillsboro Road near Mack Hatcher Parkway. Brownland Farm has been known for more than 60 years as a site for local, regional, and national equestrian events.

The Anderton family, which owns Brownland Farm, is looking to downsize and relocate its equestrian activities.

Plans for The Banks at Brownland include an approximately 100,000-square-foot hockey facility with two ice sheets. The Williamson County Commission and Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen are scheduled to meet jointly on June 29 to discuss the possibility of co-owning the facility. If the plan moves forward, the Nashville Predators would operate the hockey facility.

The hockey facility is being discussed as a way to address growing recreational needs in Williamson County, including a long-discussed interest in bringing public ice access to the county. According to project leaders, Williamson County currently has no public ice availability, and county residents made more than 60,000 visits in 2025 to Predators-managed ice facilities in Nashville and Bellevue.

The development also includes outdoor sports fields for flag football, soccer, and lacrosse. Youth football and soccer programs would be offered in collaboration with the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Soccer Club, with girls’ flag football expected to be a major part of the football programming. The Titans’ involvement has been tied to expanding access to quality fields and supporting the next generation of athletes. The team first piloted girls’ flag football in Williamson County before the sport expanded across Tennessee. Nashville Soccer Club has also connected the proposal to growing soccer access for children and families across Middle Tennessee.

A golf training and practice facility is also part of the proposal. Brooks West, PGA, owner of Franklin Bridge Golf Club, plans to develop the golf component on more than 60 acres. The facility would include a driving range, nearly 200 hitting bays, short-game practice areas, a putting green, a nine-hole short course, and golf instruction technology.

Beyond athletics, The Banks at Brownland would include space for neighborhood-focused businesses and services. Potential uses include restaurants, a grocery store, shops, fitness facilities, and medical offices.

The proposal also includes a path for GraceWorks Ministries to establish a permanent location as part of the broader project. BLVD Capital plans to purchase 18 acres from Christ Community Church to create an entrance and exit for the development. Under the plan, six of those acres would be donated to GraceWorks, and the developer would prepare the site for future construction.

GraceWorks Ministries serves more than 13,000 neighbors each year with food, shelter, and other assistance. The proposed land donation could help the nonprofit remain in the community where it was founded.

The project still must go through the City of Franklin’s approval process. Project leaders hope to begin construction in 2027.
