Tango and Nutrition Classes
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department announces new Tango and Nutrition classes at their Franklin facility. Don’t miss out on these excellent opportunities for children and adults!
First, put on your dancing shoes and come learn kicks and dips in our “Tango Workshop”. The class will focus on musical phrasing, posture, proper Tango expressions and connections between partners. Instructor, Annie Stokes-Tyshkevych will teach teen and adult participants on Saturday, May 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $20.00 per person or $30.00 per couple. Space is limited.
Next, summer is coming, are you ready? Not just for summer, are you ready to lose weight and finally make it permanent? Instructor, Melanie Stewart teaches “Eating By Design”, a four-week course in nutrition that is life changing, on Wednesdays, May 7th through May 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. No more diets, no tricks, no pills or prepackaged, portion controlled food from a box. This class can change your life and the lives of those closest to you; and, it’s a lot of fun. Come learn the secret to losing weight and keeping it off forever! The cost to participate is $50.00 per person or 2 may participate for $75.00.
Finally, pre-school aged children can join “Kid Fit”, a fitness and nutrition program where the importance of healthy lifestyle habits is taught in a fun atmosphere with props, music and puppets. Instructor, Heather Kantor teaches this six-week session on Fridays, May 9th through June 13th from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. for 2-3 year olds and from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. for 4-5 year olds. You’re never too young to start learning about sound eating, regular exercise and personal safety! The cost for either session is $60.00 per person.
