As spring unfolds and warm weather beckons, the parks and playgrounds in Williamson County come alive with the sounds of children enjoying outdoor play. From small neighborhood gems to expansive multi-purpose complexes, there are lots of great parks to visit, each with its own unique character. This guide aims to help you discover the perfect playground for your kids. Franklin, TN: A Playground Paradise for All Ages

Whether you’re looking for a brand-new inclusive playground, a neighborhood spot with a walking trail, or a park with diverse athletic options, this guide highlights some of the city’s most popular parks, each with a playground for the little ones.

Ellie G’s Dream World

This playground doesn’t exist yet, but with a little help, it soon will. Planned as Franklin’s first public inclusive playground, Ellie G’s Dream World is being built within the new Southeast Municipal Complex. This project aims to create a space where children of all abilities can play together. The safari-themed playground will feature a central “Tree of Life” play structure, alongside inclusive swings, a double zip line with accessible seats, a music area, fully accessible restrooms, and individual picnic areas.

Aspen Grove Park

Aspen Grove Park, located in the Cool Springs area, is a 14-acre park with a half-mile paved trail running alongside Spencer Creek. The park features a playground, restrooms, a reservable pavilion with a built-in barbecue pit, electrical outlets, and lights.  •  3200 Aspen Grove Dr, Franklin, TN 37067 •

Cheek Park

Del Rio Park

Located in the Rogersshire Subdivision, Del Rio Park is a small neighborhood park with a playground, gazebo, and picnic table with a grill.  • 100 Del Rio Ct, Franklin, TN 37064 •

Fieldstone Park

Fieldstone Park offers 37 acres of recreational opportunities. In addition to a playground, the park features four softball fields, two large picnic pavilions with grills, and restrooms.  •  1377 Hillsboro Rd, Franklin, TN 37069 •

Jim Warren Park

Jim Warren Park features a playground and a variety of other recreational options across its 58 acres. While popular for baseball and football, the park has a lot more to offer. Additional amenities include tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic areas with grills, a walking trail, and a skatepark. Liberty Park

With three tournament-level fields, concessions, and restrooms, Liberty Park caters primarily to baseball enthusiasts. But this 84-acre park also offers a small playground, a 10-hole disc golf course, and the Freedom Run Dog Park.  • 2080 Turning Wheel Ln, Franklin, TN 37067 •

Strahl Street Park

Tinkerbell Playground

Tinkerbell Playground, located in Pinkerton Park, is a popular spot for kids of all ages. Adjacent to the parking area, this playground features climbing equipment and ample room to roam. The one-mile walking trail is perfect for little explorers and the on-site restrooms mean you can spend the whole day enjoying the great outdoors. Trinity Park

Miles Together Inclusive Playground

Located in Granny White Park, the Miles Together Playground offers a welcoming space for children of all abilities to play and connect. Designed to foster inclusivity and to promote social interaction among children of all ages and developmental stages, the play area features a rail rider, team swing, arch swing, slides, a hammock, climbing structures, and a lot more. Crockett Park

Tucked away within Crockett Park you’ll find the Brentwood Community Playground, a unique play space designed to spark imaginative play. No typical climbing structures here, this playground features castle architecture, obstacles, bouncy bridges, slides, tire swings, and even a mini-amphitheater with a puppet show stage! The paths are rubberized for safety and the restrooms are nearby. Granbery Park

Grassland Park

Owl Creek Park

This 21-acre neighborhood park offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including a playground and a large picnic shelter, which can be reserved for events. River Park

River Park offers 46 acres of beautiful scenery and recreational opportunities. In addition to a children’s playground, the park features a two-mile bikeway and walking path that winds along the Little Harpeth River, connecting to Crockett Park and Concord Park. Wikle Park

Situated at the far east end of Wikle Road West, Wikle Park is a peaceful neighborhood park. In addition to a playground, the park offers paved walking and jogging paths and open space for picnics, sports, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Nolensville Park

Evans Park

Fischer Park 

Spring Hill’s largest park, 30-acre Port Royal Park caters to families with young children, featuring an ADA-compliant playground. This inclusive play area boasts a safe, cushioned surface, perfect for exploring and playing. Harvey Park

Sarah Benson Park

While Thompson Stations’s Sarah Benson Park caters to fitness enthusiasts with jogging paths and workout equipment, there’s also space for the kids to play. In addition to the playground, visitors will find sports fields, two pavilions, and a stage that’s available to rent. Bring the dog and experience the Mars Dog Sensory Garden. Fairview Ball Park

The Fairview Park & Recreation Complex offers a diverse range of amenities for all ages. Beyond the scenic walking trail, and baseball and soccer fields, the park features a dedicated playground, providing a space for children to explore and play. Hillsboro Leiper’s Fork Community Center
