Sunday In The Park June Music Series Coming to the Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park
Sunday Concert Series at Academy Park in Franklin
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) is proud to host a new music series this summer on the outdoor multi-purpose field at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park, 112 Everbright Avenue in Franklin, Tennessee. Join us as six unique, local artists perform on three separate dates during this free, June Music Series. Performances will take place on Sunday evenings; June 6, 13 and 20, at 6 p.m. and feature a variety of fun, family-friendly acts; plus themed costume contests and prizes! Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets and enjoy a Sunday evening in the park!
On Sunday, June 6 join us for Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers, a wild band of Nashville musicians who dress like pirates and play a rollicking mix of piratical sing-alongs, rousing historical rave-ups, Afro-Cuban tinged ballads, Cajun sea shanties and bluesy Irish jigs; taking concert goers back to the days of bustling seaside taverns at the turn of the seventeenth century. The evening’s opening act will feature Lily Ophelia, is a passionate and committed musician who has been writing original music since the age of eight. Growing up amongst the vibrant music scene in Nashville, Tennessee, she got her start gigging at local venues.
