The Star Bright Players Present Little Shop of Horrors

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s award-winning children’s theatre group, The Star Bright Players, will present the rock musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors at Freedom Middle School, 750 Highway 96 W., Franklin, TN.  Performances are Thursday through Saturday, May 2, 3, and 4 at 7:00 p.m., and a Sunday matinee on May 5 at 2:00 Little Shop of Horrors is a deviously delectable sci-fi musical smash about Seymour, a geeky floral shop worker who finds out his Venus flytrap can speak and sing. He affectionately names the carnivorous plant “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop. As Audrey II grows bigger and meaner, the strange plant promises limitless fame and fortune to Seymour, as long as he continues providing the plant’s bizarre requests. The electrifying 1960s pop/rock score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman is packed with non-stop thrills.
