Seniors Visit Modern Masters Exhibit at the Frist

Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Senior Division investigates a dazzling group of masterworks called “Monet to Dali: Modern Masters from the Cleveland Museum of Art” exhibit on Monday, February 25th. Participants age 55 and older arrive by motor coach at downtown Nashville’s Frist Center for a docent-guided tour through stunning works by famous masters such as Paul Cezanne, Salvador Dali, Edgar Degas, Paul Guaguin, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Georges Seurate and Vincent Van Gogh. Over 80 magnificent works illuminate the spirit of innovation and creativity that marks one of the most extraordinary eras in the history of art. After the tour, participants can enjoy additional exhibits within the museum or visit the fabulous Frist gift shop. Don’t miss a thrilling afternoon!
 
Cost for the trip is $12.00 per person. Transportation is provided from the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road, with check-in the day of the trip at 1:00 p.m. The group is scheduled to return at 4:30 p.m. 
 
Registration is required by calling 790-5719, ext. 10 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on or after the first registration date. Williamson County residents may register between January 25th and February 21st. Non-residents are welcome to register between January 30th and February 21stYou must speak with a receptionist in order to make a reservation. 
 
Reservations must be paid within 5 days of registration in order to be held. Payment may be received by mail, over the phone or in person (credit card purchases must be over $20.00 and will include a small processing fee) and are non-refundable after the final registration date; unless, the seat is filled from the waiting list. Participants may register up to 4 additional people for each trip.
