Seniors Settle In

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Senior’s Division visits a unique eating establishment in nearby Kentucky on Thursday, January 17th as they continue their exciting roster of day trips for folks ages 55 and older. “Patti’s 1880’s Settlement” actually began in 1975 when a young family fell in love with the Grand Rivers/Land Between the Lakes area of Kentucky and planted a motel and small hamburger café. “Hamburger Patti’s” quickly outgrew its building, expanded into the adjoining motel rooms and began the sprawling compound of log cabins, streams, fountains, kids recreational areas, specialty shops, an enlarged animal park, picturesque party venues and miniature golf that is the modern day “Patti’s 1880 Settlement”. Fabulous award-winning food, beautiful scenery and an interesting story make this northern trek a day worth experiencing!
