Free, family- and pet-friendly event raises funds to help Nashville families experiencing homelessness find stable housing
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (OCT. 7, 2026) – Hundreds of Nashvillians will lace up their sneakers on Saturday, Nov. 7 for the 22nd Annual Hike for Safe Haven, a community fundraiser supporting Safe Haven Family Shelter’s work to move local families from homelessness into safe, stable housing. The hike begins at 9 a.m. at Percy Warner Park (7100 Highway 100).
Proceeds will help Safe Haven serve the more than 240 Nashville families it expects to support this year.
“For more than 40 years, Safe Haven has partnered with families experiencing homelessness on their journey towards safe, stable housing,” said Safe Haven CEO Drew Freeman. “Through the Hike, we have the opportunity to celebrate our mission and to work hand-in-hand with our supporters to give more families a place to call home.”
The event is free and open to the public, with no entry fee or minimum donation. Hikers of all ages, and their dogs, can enjoy mostly paved trails along with food, live music and children’s activities. Participants who donate $40 or more will receive an event t-shirt, and hikers are encouraged to form teams and fundraise together to increase their impact.
For those who cannot attend the event, Safe Haven is encouraging hikers to “Hike Your Way” by walking their own neighborhood or on a favorite trail on or around event day. All participants are encouraged to share photos and videos on social media, tagging @safehaventn.
Presenting sponsors for the 2026 Hike include Amazon and Curb Records.
